B+M | Intimate Home Wedding
Barry & Melissa had a wonderfully intimate home wedding in Laois during Covid restrictions. They made the hard decision to postpone their original date to 2021 but when restrictions eased they decided to go ahead with their original date and boy I am so delighted they did. What a day.
They got ready in their parent’s houses with close friends and family. They had 25 guests in total. We had all season this day, everything from heavy rain to beautiful blue skies. Their ceremony took place in a remote church, Curraclone in Stradbally. It was rustic and had no electricity so it was lit by ambient candleight followed by a reception of afternoon tea outside the church.
We took some couple photographs and bridal party photographs in Stradbally woods, which offered beautiful coverage from any showers. Then back to their home for a second reception and dinner for close family. All styled beautifully with wildflowers and candles.
With the circumstances of Coronavirus, we had so much time for portraits in the woods. The family and couples chilled nature really shone through. Creating beautiful timeless images for them to treasure.
It was an unbelievable joy to capture their day which was full of joy & laughter. A very special day I wont forget.
